OctoCart is free and needs no account. The site sets no cookies, shows no ads and runs no analytics or trackers. We never sell or share anything about you.

This version is written for the new OctoCart and takes effect when it launches. Until then, the version of July 20, 2026 applies.

What stays on your phone

A few things are kept in your browser's own storage on this phone, so the site works the way you left it. They're never sent to us:

  • the stores you save, and the city you opened last;
  • which flyer you last opened at each store you saved, so a newer one can say "New";
  • the pages of a flyer you keep for the store, until the day after it ends;
  • swipe or scroll, and map or list;
  • a copy of the last flyer list, so the site still opens without a connection;
  • whether you've seen the first-use tip and the "add to home screen" offer, and how many flyers you've opened, to time that offer.

Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.

Your location

Only when you press Near me, and only after your browser asks you. Your phone uses it to put the nearest stores first, or to pick your city. It stays in that browser tab for up to two hours and is gone when you close it. It's never sent to us.

Searching a city's deals happens on your phone: it downloads the city's deals list and searches it there. What you type isn't sent anywhere.

What our servers see

Like any website, the servers that send you our pages, flyer files and map pieces receive the usual details of each request: the address of your connection, the file asked for and the time. We use them only to keep the site working and to count how often files are fetched, for example how often a city's flyers are opened. We build no profiles.

Opening a map loads its lettering and icons from Protomaps' public files, which GitHub serves.

Other services, only when you tap

Directions opens Google Maps. Send to family opens WhatsApp or your phone's share menu. An email link opens your mail app. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Store owners on OctoMart

You sign in with your email and a six-digit code, with no password. We keep your email address, the stores you claim, the flyers you send, and a record of what was done with them, so a person can check every claim and take-down; that record knows you by a number, never your email. To claim a store, we call the store's listed phone number and read out a code; we keep only a scrambled form of that code. If you invite someone to help with your stores' flyers, we keep their email address so they can join. We don't send marketing email.

OctoMart sets only the cookies it needs to work: one keeps you signed in, one remembers your email address for the ten minutes you have to type the code we sent, one remembers your language, and one remembers which teams it has already told you you've left. None of them follows you anywhere else.

While you use the Flyer maker, your browser loads the lettering of your flyer's look from Google Fonts, so Google receives the usual details of those requests (your connection's address and the fonts asked for). Our computer loads the same fonts from Google when it draws your finished flyer.

You can delete your account yourself, under Team and account. We withdraw your flyers that haven't begun, let your stores go, end your team, and replace your email address everywhere we kept it. A flyer that's already up stays until its last day unless you take it down first. Flyers and their pages stay with the stores. Or write to support@chekinfotech.com.
